Banner Rotator – The Clever Way to Increase Ad Revenue

January 26th, 2012

If you’re using your blog or website to make a little extra money, this post is for you. People pay for ad space to get more exposure to possible buyers. And even if you’re already successful – which I hope you are – I’m sure you can handle a few more bucks.

Sales, promotions, product launches – all companies want is to get out there! The banner rotator is a clever tool to display more ads than your banner areas can handle. And you don’t even need any programming skills – you have BannerSnack to do the work for you.

I will not get into more details about how to create and adjust the viewing probabilities for each banner – you have this post for that. But here are some details on how to embed the code in any platform, because you can do so.

I picked the three most commonly used blogging platforms out there: WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr. For all platforms, start by pressing the Embed button in BannerSnack rotator.

How to embed on WordPress:

1. Log in to WordPress and select new post or go into an old post.
You can have different banner rotators for each page of your blog.
2. Go to HTML in the menu editor
Paste the embed code and click preview.

Simple as that!

How to embed on Blogger

1. Log in to Blogger and click on New Post.

2. Once you do so, you are on the Dashboard.

Select the Html and paste the code from BannerSnack rotator.

3. Click Compose to preview your changes.

4. If you like what you see, press the Publish button.

How to embed on Tumblr

1. Log in to Tumblr.

2. From the menu bar, select the Text icon.

3. Now you can write a new Text Post.

Click the Html button and paste the embed code for the rotator.

4. Press Update for a preview in real-time.

5. Add other elements – title, body – and publish by pressing Create post.

Tip: The best part is yet to come. You can get stats for each of the visits and views you receive on the banners displayed by the rotator, so you don’t have to worry about any tracking codes – they are included.
