Friday links #14

July 9th, 2010

I like Fridays after a nice, busy and interesting week. Don’t you? Ok, let me get straight to the point, links that I think you should visit.

We all listen to music, right? On our way to work, at work, when practicing a sport, driving, even when we go out somewhere in the evening… Related to music is this article Add Music To Your Workflow To Improve Results. So more than entertaining, music can create a mood that can be perfect for what you do at your job. It can also give a greater impact to your presentation. Do you agree?

What’s happening online right now? Group buying, big interest in location, mobile ads, mobile payments and setting a social media policy since more and more companies are interested in this new form of communication and marketing. These are the 5 social media trends that Mashable is talking about. Interesting.

A wonderful tutorial for the web designers reading this blog, How to design a website with Photoshop.

I found a lovely collection, Sunrise photography. Hope you will like it, I enjoyed every photo …

See you next week, till then have fun!

You know our “youngest” application, PodSnack – the tool you can use to create custom flash audio players, it has new templates.

We introduced 3 audio players with playlists:

It’s time for a new episode on “Tuesday is for photos”. Now I didn’t pick a theme as I usually do, but a photographer that draw my attention. I found Dan (aka Durango99) this morning on Flickr and I just had to share his amazing photos with you. The colors are incredible and they create such a great warm feeling … Mesmerizing, that’s the word to describe what came out of his hands.

If you’d like to see more photos of Dan click here. Believe me you’ll wander around for a while … I sure got lost browsing his images.

I used Simple fade as my template (it is a premium template) and 500 x 400px size, perfect for this blog.

Enjoy!

Friday links #13

July 2nd, 2010

This week is almost ending … so fast. We had a great and busy week, launched 4 giveaways (for more details check out this blog post) and we were working hard to finish a huge collection of banner templates. If you are already a member, you received a newsletter with the announcement that the templates are live. If you are new here, log in to BannerSnack and you should see them in the section called “My banners”.

How was this week for you? Busy, interesting, sunny?

Let me get back to what I came for, interesting links to share with you. Would you like to browse through a fascinating collection of ads from the 2010 World Cup ?

For the web designers out there, discover 76 free vector resources that 1stWebDesigner found very useful. I’m pretty sure you will like them too. Also for you, 10 resources for inspiration. I think you know some of them, hope some are new and that you are ready for a little exploration.

Do you write a blog? Perhaps for your company, like I do or a personal blog. I found a very helpful article that might interest you, 5 Do’s and Donts for blog coverage.

And to end this blog post in a nice way, I’ll invite you to view a dessert photography collection. Hope I made your weekend a little sweeter.

Wish you a sunny weekend!
