I had an amazing weekend, I hope yours was also a blast. Now let’s jump start the week by doing something different, something really amazing.
I must admit, I like things that are different and have a touch of uniqueness. Nobody likes to just blend in the crowd, so let’s add some tips& tricks to the banner playbook; there’s always something more to it.
If you have already used BannerSnack to create banners, you probably played with those incredible effects – Build In/ Build Out – and have now mastered those skills. Read the rest of this entry »
You can advertise anything, but even if it’s a product that everyone already loves, you still need to sell it well. Sometimes the hardest thing to market is a product we all know. And of course, everyone loves chocolate. Milk chocolate, nuts, raisins, white chocolate – you name it.
I have searched the web and found some delicious looking and creative chocolate banners.
I’m telling you, this sure made me crave some chocolate.
If you’re anything like me, you must have wasted many hours as a teenager, reading magazines and taking all the possible quizzes. They promised to give me magical answers about everything – my personality, my future, my relationships and my resemblance to Madonna. And I had great trust in them.
I’m no longer a fervent believer in the quizzes’ supernatural abilities to foretell my future, but I have learned how useful they can be in getting information about my readers or for research purposes. I mostly use them in psychology or marketing, but they can be applied to any field of interest.
Of course, when you have a quiz, you need people willing to take it. And a great way to spread it is to put it online and share it with the world. QuizSnack lets you do just that. It’s a simple online app that is easy to use and offers all kinds of great sharing options.
Imagine you find something funny or creative that you really like on the Internet. What do you normally do? My guess is, you pass it on to your friends. This unconscious need to share content is a normal reaction in real life too; every time we find something good, whether it’s a funny joke or a creative ad or shoes on sale, we spread the word.
I bet that sometimes, while surfing the Internet, some banners catch your eye. Creative, colorful, really nice, and you probably think only a designer could make them.
You probably think that if a banner looks complex, it must be. But sometimes, that’s not quite true. Today we will start by replicating a banner and explaining the process behind it.
BannerSnack lets you recreate almost every banner you see online.
Amazing animation effects, video inserted into banners? You name it and this app gives you the chance to do just that.
One of our SnackTools friends wanted to know how to add an electrified effect on his banner. While we were giving him the instructions, we thought – hey, maybe we should show this effect to all of you! So here is how you can add a little spark to your awesome banners.
It’s something a bit different from the default banner effects you see everyday. Easy to use, but really nice!
Follow these steps for an electrified effect :
1. Log in to BannerSnack 2. Select a size for your banner (custom or preset) 3. Choose an image for the background (You can opt between color, image texture or no background) 4. Add text – the effect can only be applied to text 5. Go to Build In/Build Out Click on the following effects: BlurryLight/ Glow/NeonTubes
It could be hard to choose, but you can preview each banner effect and select the one that you think fits best. You can also delay the effect or expand duration.
Here’s my electrified banner; I must admit that I played with other effects and duration to increase suspense.
