About the points system
SnackTools points are the only currency you can use to pay for the premium features in all of our apps.
However, you can perform most of the actions within the SnackTools apps without using any point. Actually you can create a full flash banner or a complete photo slideshow without spending a single point. The only situation in which points are required is when you want to publish your work, the final step in each of our apps. More exactly, you will need to pay a few points if you wish to get a watermark-free embed or a download.
Which apps are using the points system?
Right now you can use these points in both BannerSnack and PhotoSnack, but once we'll release more apps, you will be able to use these points in all of these new apps as well. We're currently working on a few other SnackTools apps. They are going to be released soon.
How do I get points?
The most practical way to get points is to order them as you go; when you need a few points to publish your work, just go ahead and buy some points. You can also buy points "in bulk" and use them on current and future projects. Once purchased, these points never expire, meaning that you can use them in an indeterminate period of time.
Another way to get points is to receive them for free, on special occasions, contests, partnerships, or as a bonus due to a high volume of usage.
What about the monthly subscriptions?
For companies or people who use our apps on a current basis, we have two monthly subscription options available. They work like this: you pay a recurrent monthly fee and you get a large number of points every month. The unused monthly points are not reportable, meaning that any unused monthly points will be lost at the end of the month.
In case you also have non-subscription points on your account, they will be referred at as "extra points" and will be used only when your monthly points end. These extra points (they are regular points after all) never expire.
